I’ve got several flashlights and the ones from Fenix store are the best so far. The material is of high quality and made to last.
I have a very small EVATAC Flashlight that is super bright and has zoom. However, when the AA BATTERY is put in, the orange foam button only changes the light from steady to flashing, no OFF position. How to correct this problem? Is there a contact part missing on top of the battery before screwing the top back on? Please let me know.
Thank you,
Sheila Mann
Hello Sheila,
Thank you for reaching out. It sounds like your EVATAC flashlight is having some trouble with its button and modes. Let’s go through a few simple steps to try and fix this issue.
Things to Check:
Battery Installation:
Make sure the AA battery is inserted correctly. The positive end (+) should match up with the positive terminal in the flashlight.
Check the battery compartment for any dirt or corrosion. If you find any, gently clean the contacts with a cotton swab or cloth.
Missing Contact Part:
Some flashlights have a little spring or contact piece that helps the battery connect properly. Check to see if everything looks normal in the battery compartment.
If something seems to be missing or out of place, that could be causing the problem.
Button Issues:
The orange foam button might be stuck or not working right. Try pressing it a few times to see if it resets or starts working normally.
Battery Type:
Make sure you’re using the right type of AA battery. Some flashlights prefer certain brands or types (like alkaline or lithium).
Manufacturer Instructions:
If you have a user manual or instructions from EVATAC, give those a quick read for any specific troubleshooting tips.
Next Steps If It Still Doesn’t Work:
If none of these steps help, it might be a good idea to contact EVATAC’s customer support for further help.
If your flashlight is still under warranty, you might be able to get a replacement.
I hope this helps you get your flashlight working properly again!
Best regards,
